Introduction
ArcticAnchor™ ("ArcticAnchor™," "we," "us," or "our") operates arcticanchors.com and the ArcticAnchor™ Members portal (together, the "Site"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you provide directly. This includes your name, email, phone number, and company details when you submit a contact form, request a sample, request a quote or takeoff review, apply to become a distributor, or apply for ArcticAnchor™ Members. If you become an approved member, we also store your login email and an encrypted (never plain text) password.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our servers automatically log standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, primarily to keep the Site secure and prevent abuse of our forms.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See the Cookies section below.
- Payment information. If you place an order through our store, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries, quote requests, and takeoff submissions
- Review and process ArcticAnchor™ Members applications
- Provide access to the Members portal for approved members
- Process orders placed through our store
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site
- Understand how visitors use the Site and measure the effectiveness of our advertising, where you have consented to analytics or advertising cookies
- Comply with legal obligations
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies in three categories:
- Necessary. Required for the Site to function, such as keeping you signed in to the Members portal or remembering items in your cart. These are always active and cannot be turned off.
- Analytics. Help us understand which pages are visited and how the Site is used, so we can improve it.
- Advertising. Used by us and advertising partners, including Google, Meta, and LinkedIn, to measure the performance of our ad campaigns and, where permitted, to show you relevant ArcticAnchor™ ads on other sites.
Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you consent through the cookie preference banner. You can review or change your choices at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share information with the following types of third parties, only as needed to operate the Site:
- Service providers who host our infrastructure, store our database, send transactional email, and process payments on our behalf.
- Advertising partners(Google, Meta, LinkedIn), but only for visitors who have consented to advertising cookies. Under some state privacy laws, this type of sharing for advertising purposes is treated as a "sale" or "share" of personal information, which is why we ask for your consent first and give you a way to opt out below.
- Law enforcement or other parties when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ArcticAnchor™ or others.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request a copy of it, request that we correct or delete it, and opt out of the sharing of your information for advertising purposes. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and residents of several other states have similar rights under their own state laws. Visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom have comparable rights under the GDPR.
To exercise any of these rights, or to opt out of having your information shared with our advertising partners, use the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer, or contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Site, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Membership application data is retained as part of your account or, for declined applications, for a limited period for record-keeping purposes.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for business and professional use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
